The Regional Education Program for the Deaf serves deaf and hard-of-hearing students until age 22 who live in the top 26 counties of Texas.

RDSPD Success Stories
Ben Diaz, former Lamar, Fannin, and Caprock student, played football throughout his four years at Caprock High School. He was honored for his courage and perseverance. Ben graduated from Amarillo College's Auto Mechanics program. As Ben says, "Never give up, practice everyday and you'll be a winner." Congratulations Ben!

Hayden Morris, former RDSPD student, was spotlighted in the Pigskin Review for his leadership.
Born profoundly deaf, Hayden has shown dedication and drive in both athletics and academics. He graduated from WTAMU with a degree in civil engineering.

Erica Trevino, former AISD deaf student, graduated from Amarillo College with an Associate of Forensic Science degree.
She also graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice degree from West Texas A&M University.

Amanda Davis, former RDSPD student, shares the following:
"For the deaf students who struggle in life, my advice is never give up and keep doing what you want to do."
Luke Stapleton, former RDSPD student, has achieved many milestones already in his life. He is currently practicing Law in the Oklahoma City area.
Jinna (Wright) Hodgkins, former RDSPD student, attended our program from Preschool through the 12th grade.
Former Deaf Education student, Lacy Sims, became a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). This is a one-year Certificate of Completion from Amarillo College.
