August 14, 2026 – State accountability results show Amarillo ISD has plenty to celebrate as the District continues to make academic gains, based on the most recent scores from STAAR and EOC tests. For the first time since the inception of the state’s A to F Accountability System, all four of AISD’s traditional high schools earned an A rating, including year-over-year gains at Amarillo High, Caprock, Palo Duro and Tascosa. This is a significant accomplishment for our large 5A high schools. Overall, the District also posted academic gains, growing by two percentage points over last year.

"Having all four of our traditional high schools earn an 'A' rating, along with improvements in our overall district score, is something to be proud of and a direct result of the dedication of our incredible staff," said Amarillo ISD Superintendent Deidre Parish. "While these results show momentum, they also provide a clear roadmap for where we must continue to grow. Our schools and teams are already diving into the detailed data to shape our instruction for the upcoming school year."
