August 28, 2026 – Amarillo ISD staff member Yadira Garcia, Director of Community Relations & Board Services, was named to the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce "Top 20 Under 40" list, an annual recognition that celebrates emerging young professionals who demonstrate exceptional leadership in their careers and a commitment to serving the Panhandle community.

The Chamber noted that award recipients are chosen for their personal and professional accomplishments, as well as their ongoing contributions to the growth and vibrancy of the Amarillo community.

The private evening ceremony was held August 27, 2026, at the Amarillo National Bank Skyline Conference Room. The celebration brought together local business leaders, community advocates, and educators to honor top local businesses, emerging enterprises, and rising leaders making a difference across Amarillo.
