Community Based Pre-K

By forming community based partnerships, the District offers half-day pre-kindergarten taught by Amarillo ISD teachers with university degrees at several locations. The District provides services to three and four-year-old children featuring best practices in teaching and learning, quality classroom resources and materials, current technology, and professional development. The community partners provide wrap-around care, space, and support services. These partnerships focus attention on how to bring children to their fullest potential by offering a full day high-quality program for working families.

Dual enrollment occurs when children are enrolled at child care or Head Start, and at an AISD campus.

Children's Learning Centers:
AISD's campuses and Children's Learning Centers have formed four community based pre-kindergarten partnerships to offer families a full day high-quality early childhood program. AISD pre-kindergarten teachers with university degrees provide instructional services for three and four-year-olds. The children receive wrap-around child care provided by Children's Learning Centers. All community based pre-kindergarten programs are aligned with AISD's instructional methodology, PK-12.

Complete the registration process for Amarillo ISD found on the Pre-Kindergarten Information web page. AISD will determine if your child meets the pre-kindergarten eligibility requirements.
