The Amarillo Independent School District is comprised of approximately five million square feet of building space, 32,000 students and 4,000 employees.  The AISD Maintenance Department is charged with maintaining all district facilities.

The department is comprised of the following four departments: Custodial, Grounds, Construction, and Building Maintenance with the common focus among them being productivity and quality of work. Our department handles 26,000 work orders annually; the vast majority of those are assigned to the Building Maintenance department.
