    Amarillo ISD and our schools use ParentSquare for school communication primarily with email, text and app notifications.

    ParentSquare automatically syncs with Skyward (our District’s student information system) to generate an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.

    Find Your Student's Teacher or Counselor

    To correspond with a teacher or counselor via email, log into Skyward Family Access (Login screen opens in a new window) and use the instructions below:

    • To contact a teacher, select “Schedule” from the main menu. Click the teacher's name to display the teacher’s email address, and then click the displayed email address to create a message.
    • To contact the counselor, select "Student Information" from the main menu. Click the counselor's name (listed on the Student Information screen as "Advisor") and then click the displayed email address to create a message.

  • Bullying Report Form
    If you feel you or another student has been bullied, please make a report using the AISD Bullying Report Form (Opens in new window).

  • High school and middle school campus administrators shall have the discretion to determine the appropriate use of electronic devices outside the school day for students participating in extra-curricular activities while on school property or while attending school-sponsored or school-related activities on or off school property.

    Teachers and administrators may confiscate electronic devices used in violation of this policy. Students who repeatedly violate this policy may be subject to established disciplinary measures.

    • For each offense, the student’s parent or guardian will be notified that a device has been confiscated.
    • When a device has been confiscated during a semester, a $15.00 fee may be charged to return the device. If the fee is not paid, the device will be kept by the school until the end of the school year.
    • Anytime a device is confiscated, $15.00 may be charged in order for the device to be returned.

    Principals may designate a time and day of the week to return cell phones and other electronic devices that have been confiscated during the previous seven days. The school will keep a log of all confiscated devices and will receipt each return. All fees collected are designated to be used for security hardware on the campus.

    At the end of the school year, principals shall designate a period of time for unclaimed devices to be picked up. A $15.00 fee may be charged to return each device. If the $15.00 fee is not paid and the device is not claimed within the designated time period, it will be held until the second week of June.

Principal’s Message


Derek Davis, Bowie 6th Grade Campus Principal​​​​​​​Bowie 6th Grade Campus is where ACADEMIC WARRIORS are educated in preparation for success in life and beyond High School. We are committed to the individual success of every student!

The Bowie 6th Grade campus is a state of the art facility where innovative, 21st century practices are used to develop scholars to have critical thinking and problem solving skills. Our school program offers diverse extracurricular activities for student’s participation, and Project Based Learning gives students the opportunity to explore, develop academic skills, and create products within the learning process.

Our cutting edge technology provides a dimension of learning that puts real world at the fingertips of each and every student. I consider it a joy and privilege to serve the students and staff of the Bowie community, and look forward to watching our Warriors achieve greatness.
