Superintendent Search Update

November 14, 2024 – The Amarillo ISD Board of Trustees hired Walsh Gallegos Kyle Robinson & Roalson P.C. and Educational Consultant Dr. Ann Dixon to assist in the hiring of the District’s next Superintendent. Trustees developed the hiring criteria and authorized the firm to facilitate the distribution and collection of applications. In the coming weeks, the Board will release an online survey to allow stakeholders, staff and students the opportunity to provide feedback as to the qualities they would like to see in the next leader of AISD.
 


October 30, 2024 — The Amarillo ISD Board of Trustees decided to interview three Superintendent search firms to aid in the search for AISD’s next leader. The Board will listen to presentations from the selected consulting firms to learn about the skill sets and expertise they can bring to help the District through the process. The presentations will occur in a board meeting scheduled for November 14th at 5:30 p.m.
