AISD COVID-19 Update-March 27

In today’s update, AISD provides the locations and bus schedule for mobile WiFi access for students, details about services related to special education, information about the new AISD At-Home Learning website and a video message from Superintendent Doug Loomis.

Our goal for our entire AISD family throughout this time of school closure is to stay positive and keep moving forward. Our school buildings may be closed, but we committed to providing continued instruction. Thank you for your partnership, your patience and support as we transition to at-home learning beginning next week, and please remember help is available.

Throughout the past couple of weeks, our teachers, principals, counselors, librarians, technology staff and many others have been working hard to develop ways to keep teaching and learning going and support not only the instructional needs, but also the social and emotional needs of our students and families during this time of transition.

In this update, you’ll find additional information about:

At Home Learning

Assignments and lessons are being delivered to all AISD students either online or through paper packets beginning March 27. A wealth of information, including instructional support for parents and students, information about how to turn in work, help desk support for issues with technology, access to online libraries, additional resources for elementary, middle and high school students and much more can be found on our NEW ‘At-Home Learning’ web page at www.amaisd.org/athome

Please keep in mind as students and parents begin adjusting to at-home learning, your student’s teacher and other campus staff will be best equipped to help with questions about specific assignments, online resources and completing school work at home. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your school for help.
