2022-2023 Transfer Requests Now Available Online

March 22, 2022 – Transfer applications for the 2022-2023 school year are now available online. The deadline for priority consideration is May 1, 2022.

With full-day pre-k and dual-language programs in elementary school, orchestra beginning in fifth grade, middle school STEM programs, high school dance, along with OnRamps Dual Enrollment, an International Baccalaureate program and a career academy, AmTech, which is like no other, Amarillo ISD students have many opportunities available to meet their individual needs and interests. And, exclusively for AISD graduates, the Thrive Scholarship pays for tuition, fees and books for up to 60 hours at Amarillo College.

The transfer application form can be found at https://www.amaisd.org/transfer. The web pages in our Transfer Information section also includes information about the following topics: Transfers into AISD and transfers within the District, transportation for transfer students, the types of transfers available and answers to frequently asked questions. Similarly, you can access the Transfer Information web pages by navigating to the home page of the AISD website, then click the Parents link followed by selecting the Transfer Information link.

The online form will ask you to select your student’s home campus in addition to selecting the campus you wish for your student to attend. If you are unsure of which campus is your student’s home campus, please use our Locator Map located in our Schools section of the District website. If you are still unsure, please contact the nearest AISD school in your neighborhood and ask for their assistance in determining your student’s home campus. A list of AISD schools and contact information can be viewed on the Locator Map web page and also on our Profile of Each School web page.
