Personal Technology Usage Stipend

During this time of closure, AISD is requiring at least 97% of its professional employees to work from home. Many of these employees, while working from home, are maximizing personal internet usage. These employees are required to take part in daily online activities from home, including but not limited to, daily virtual meetings with students, team members, administrators, and/or parents, and hours of online instructing and planning. All of these activities require high speed internet connectivity.

In light of the changes to how AISD educates students, and to support our employees using personal internet access for AISD-required work from home, a Personal Technology Usage Stipend of $50.00 to each teacher, professional support staff, and administrator will be implemented. This stipend will be included for the April pay period. The Board will consider the possibility for an additional stipend in May in the weeks to come, as we learn more about the delivery of education for the last month of school.
