Register for Skyward Family Access with Your Campus Office

April 21, 2014 – New for the 2014-2015 school year, high school families will be able to register their child for back-to-school through their Skyward Family Access account. Piloting the new way of registering for school in Amarillo ISD, high school campuses will offer registration online from mid-July through the first week of August. Families must have registered Skyward Family Access accounts in order to use the new online registration tools. 

"The initial push for online registration has come from the families of AISD students,” Jeff Roller, chief technology officer said. “With the immersion of technology throughout our lives, online registration will save time, clerical errors in entering forms, and save paper through making the majority of current online forms accessible via electronic means.”  

It is anticipated all AISD campuses will have online registration available in coming years. The district recommends all families register their Skyward Family Access account so they may keep track of their child’s school information. To register a Skyward Family Access account, families should contact their child’s campus office. 

Skyward Family Access makes this information available to families once registered:

• Assignments calendar
• Grade book, including missing assignments
• Attendance records, and reasons for absences
• Class schedule, meeting times and room numbers
• Discipline records
• Health information
• Online registration – where available
• Student demographic information, detailing school principal, advisor, homeroom teacher, and any family and emergency contact information
