May 28, 2014 – New for the 2014-2015 school year, high school families will be able to submit many back to school registration forms through their Skyward Family Access account. High school families must have registered for a Skyward Family Access account in order to use the new online forms which will be open July 25 to August 5.
“The initial push for online registration has come from the families of AISD students,” Jeff Roller, chief technology officer said. “With the immersion of technology throughout our lives, online registration will save time, clerical errors in entering forms, and save paper through making the majority of current forms accessible online.”
It is anticipated all AISD campuses will have registration forms available online in coming years. The district recommends all families register their Skyward Family Access account so they may keep track of their child’s school information. To register for a Skyward Family Access account, families should contact their child’s campus secretary in person.
Skyward Family Access makes these forms and more available for ease of registration:
- Code of Conduct Acknowledgement
- Directory Information
- Eligibility for Special Programs
- Network Usage Agreements
- Off-Campus Field Trip
- Release to College or Military
- Release for Media Purposes
- Special Health Alert
Traditional registration on school campuses is still required for such things as proof of residency, class schedule, ACE programming, emergency contact, free/reduced lunch, and updates to medical including food allergies.
Throughout the summer, high schools will offer times for families to register their Skyward Family Access account with the school secretary. Libraries and computer labs will also be open during traditional school registration for families to fill out forms online. Check with your high school for specific dates and times.
