June 3, 2014– Amarillo ISD launched a newly rendesigned district website designed by SharpSchool, an education web hosting and content management company, this past February. Now that many of you have had an opportunity to peruse the website and learn the new organization and design, your opinion on the overall transformation is important. Please take a few moments to give us your feedback about the district website through a brief online survey here- http://tinyurl.com/webredesign14
The renovated website was designed to provide the most accurate and timely information to users in a manner which keeps them coming back. With front page news stories and splashy graphics, the goal is for all website users to feel more connected to the school district and happy with their online experience.
The website changes began last summer with a reorganization of the information provided on the site. Each main section was reviewed for quality purposes and positioned in a place where users would likely look for it.
“Our primary goal has been to develop a site that is easy to navigate and useful for the public, and especially parents and prospective parents,” Susan Hoyl, director of community relations, said. “We want to make sure it meets the needs of our customers and helps tell our story.”
One of the most visited websites in the Amarillo area, the AISD website had more than one million views last year.
